This Discussion Unit enables participants to speak, register a request-to-speak and listen to the speaker. The unit has a built-in loudspeaker. The unit also accommodates two headphone sockets so even in situations with excessive background noise the speaker can be heard clearly. This system can be set up to run stand alone or be controlled by a technician via a P.C.
Delegate Response or “Push to talk” microphones are increasingly in demand for meetings and conferences. As specialists in simultaneous interpretation, we have stocks of many manufacturers of these microphones, including Bosch and Brahler which are available for hire to conference organisers, production companies and AV Companies.
Delegate Response microphones are housed in smart desk-top units with a “push to talk” button and a red ring which lights up to indicate that the mic is live. By pressing the button, delegates can respond immediately instead of waiting while a hand held radio microphone is brought to their seat.
For Chairmen and Facilitators…
Another very popular feature of Delegate Response systems is the chairman’s microphone, which has an override facility. The override button gives chairmen and conferences organisers more control over their meetings, and is particularly useful for facilitators, presenters and trainers.
For Cost-effective meetings…
The Simultaneous Interpretation Company’s Delegate Response systems are usually less expensive than the combination of radio mics and the assistants needed to handle them.
